photos from a boat trip out to vassholmen, a small island in the middle of the oslo fjord, a sunny day in february. this site is a project that the architecture firm i’m currently working for has been awarded. as far as scenery goes, it doesn’t get better than this(in oslo, anyway)..

Got a new toy…
March 20, 2008
Got a new lens for my Pentax cameras. I’ve been using it on my mini-trip to Copenhagen(went to see DJ Shadow live, just came home yesterday. I’m looking forward to seeing the pictures, but since the film lab I’m using is closed during easter, I’ll have to wait until next week… :-/ )
Meanwhile, here are some macro photos of the lens, taken with my digital camera + 50mm lens + reverse-mounted 50mm lens..

Jose Feliciano

I haven’t really played the guitar for almost a year now.. Watching these clips of Jose Feliciano made me string my guitar again.. The guy’s got it all, probably one of the most technically skilled guitarists of all-time, AND he’s got flow and soul too, which can’t be said for a lot of guitarists that automatically think faster=better/difficult=better. Great voice too, could listen to that voice all day..
California Dreaming
Gotta love that spanish break at the end..
Light My Fire
Bing Crosby + Jose Feliciano + Diana Ross/Supremes
Nice Louis Armstrong impersonation @ 4:17
It’s sad to see how much more talented musicians the mainstream artists were back in the 60’s compared to today. Try to put Britney Spears, 50 Cent and Linkin Park together, in front of some mics on a live TV-show, and watch shit go to hell faster than you can say “Playback”.. This Youtube clip of Linkin Park trying to play “Sweet Child of Mine” pretty much seems it up. Stick to powerchords, son..
