kids are not alright

the damn neighbor kid is having a birthday party outside in the backyard. You know, the kind of party you have when you’re 13. No alcohol or anything, the kids are just naturally fucked up, standing around making noise. Right now they’re singing along to Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”…

And because of the damn hot weather, I can’t leave the windows shut, forcing me to listen to guys in their puberty singing powerpop from the 80’s, while I’m desperately trying to work on my semester project which is due on Monday.

Damn kids…
