Pilgrim voyage on a Friday morning
April 9, 2007
On the friday before easter Simen, Amund and me decided to take a little trip to Toten, and visit our assigned site for the current pilgrim church project. We’ve been there once before, but that was before the snow melted, so we didn’t really know much about the site.

Spirits we’re high, even after we managed to drive in the wrong direction for 45 minutes.

Spirits were lowered after a while, when we found out that we:
a) didn’t have a map to the site
b) didn’t have the address either
c) actually didn’t know which town the site was at
(We had been in the pub the night earlier -> the trip was a bit lacking in the planning department)
Luckily, Simen had his laptop with him. By guessing our way using a 3d-landscape model on the computer and comparing it to the scenery while driving, we arrived at the site around noon.

The site actually belongs to a private farmer, which made us a bit unsecure about taking many photos. But after a while we figured, what the hell, we’re architects (students) so it’s okay

Quite a big difference from last time..

I also made two panoramas, click the photos below for larger versions:

Epic music video
April 9, 2007
The only reason Youtube is so popular is because it has copyrighted videos on it. It’s like a giant Video Napster conveniently accessed from your web browser. It’s a miracle this high-profile copyright infringement machine hasn’t been buttraped by any big television companies yet, it seems like they manage to dodge the copyright laws by simply deleting all copyrighted videos once in a while. But then the same video will just be uploaded again and again and again. I feel a bit weird about the people behind Youtube making loads of cash off of regular people uploading copyrighted things.
But then again, it also means I can watch Beastie Boys – Sabotage whenever I want to.
Best music video in the world, it never gets old..
